Eligibility: Are You Qualified?

The screening process is merit-based and very strict. Ensure you meet these criteria:

  1. Academic Year: You must be entering your final year of B.E./B.Tech (2026-27 batch).

  2. No Backlogs: Students with active backlogs are strictly ineligible for this program.

  3. Attendance Rule: You must commit to a minimum of 15 working days of physical presence per month to receive your stipend.


How to Apply (The Offline Step-by-Step)

There is no online link for this application. You must send your documents via Speed Post.

  1. Download the Form: Get the official proforma from the DRDO “Skill-Seeker” website (Advt No. DLRL/HRD/PINT/2026/01).

  2. The Sponsorship Letter (Crucial): You need a referral/sponsorship letter from your college. Pro-tip: This MUST be on your college’s official letterhead and signed by the Principal or Director.

  3. Document Set: Attach self-attested copies of:

    • Aadhaar Card & College ID.

    • All marksheets up to the 3rd year (1st Semester).

    • Bonafide Certificate from your college.

Selection Process & Realities

  • Merit-Based: Selection is primarily based on your cumulative marks/CGPA up to the 3rd year.

  • Tie-Breaker: If scores are identical, the elder candidate (by DOB) gets the preference.

  • No Accommodation: DLRL does not provide any hostel, transport, or medical facilities. You must arrange your own stay in Hyderabad.

  • Final Certificate: You will only receive the certificate and the final ₹15,000 installment if you complete the full 180-day tenure.

Is there an interview?

In most cases, selection is merit-based, but DLRL reserves the right to hold an “interaction” or interview if needed.

Can students from other branches apply?

Only ECE, CSE, Mechanical, and related branches (EIE/ETC/IT) are eligible. Civil or Chemical engineering students are not eligible for this specific lab.

What happens after I get selected?

You will be notified via email. Once selected, you must obtain a Police Verification Certificate and a formal NOC from your college before joining.
